This vintage frame is all about the details—carved ivory-toned inlay, a brass inner border, and the kind of presence that makes any vignette feel complete.
It is possibly 19th century in a Napoleonic 3rd style (leave no space undecorated).
This small frame measures approximately 5 x 4. A wallet sized print is in the frame currently and it is slightly too small. I would recommend a picture larger than a wallet size.
Disclaimers: The frame does show some age with surface cracks and wear, but nothing that takes away from its unique appeal. The brass surround is loose though and needs adjustment if handled often. There is no glass and it is missing pieces on bottom edge. This is unnoticeable if in an easel or propped up.
Just note: this one stands on its own and does not include hanging hardware.
