12½” tall x 8” wide Two delicate Cardamine specimens—Cardamine sylvatica and Cardamine alpina L.—mounted on their original 19th-century herbarium sheet and annotated in fine ink script. Each was collected from distinct alpine regions (Meiringen and Mt. Pilatus), where these wildflowers grew along damp meadows and mountain slopes.
The slender stems and seed pods remain beautifully intact, secured with their original linen bindings. The paper bears light waviness and age toning consistent with authentic herbarium preservation.
