A handsome silver-plated hotel ladle from the historic Providence Biltmore, featuring the hotel's ornate "B" monogram and stamped "Providence Biltmore 1922" on the reverse. The Providence Biltmore opened in 1922 as one of New England's grand luxury hotels, making this a wonderful piece of early hotel silver with both history and character. While the hotel was not affiliated with the Vanderbilt family's Biltmore Estate, it adopted the prestigious "Biltmore" name during the golden age of grand hotels, when the name had become synonymous with luxury and elegance.
